Hier nochmal eine Erinnerung daran, dass nächsten Donnerstag (26.01.23) unsere jährliche AK Queer Mitgliederversammlung ist. Sie wird um 18:00 Uhr im Ratskeller stattfinden.
Mitglied seid ihr, sobald ihr 3 Mal auf einem Treffen das AK Queer wart.
Nach dem organisatorischen Teil geht die Versammlung dann in ein entspanntes Queer & Beer über.
Wir freuen uns über euer kommen!

Da sich möglicherweise die neue Covid Variante auch in Deutschland ausbreitet, möchten wir euch noch einmal bitten euch vor Teilnahme an unseren Treffen zu testen und vor allem zu Hause zu bleiben, falls ihr Symptome habt.

Friendly reminder that our yearly AK Queer general assembly will take place next Thursday (26.01.23). We will meet at 18:00 in the Ratskeller.
You are a AK Queer Member if you have visited 3 or more AK Queer events. After the organizational part, the assembly will transition into a relaxed Queer & Beer.

Due to the new covid variant possibly also spreading in Germany, we ask everyone to continue testing themselves before attending our events, and even more importantly to stay home if you have any symptoms.

on Wednesday the 11th the Queer Referat of the AStA has organized a STD testing day in cooperation with the Ministery of Health.
You will be able to get tested for free and completely anonymously from 12 to 16 o’clock at the Aula building (A3.3) on campus. You do not need an appointment just show up to the side entrance of the building and get your consult and test.

STDs like HIV are still a very stigmatized problem and we as the AK Queer want to offer everyone the safe and anonymous opportunity to help fight against the spread of these diseases. It can take years for symptoms to show which
is not only too late for you but also too late for the partners you had in those years. Even if you think you cannot have a STD it is still possible to contract them over other bodily fluids so better safe than sorry.

Hello everyone,
today unifilm in cooperation with us the AK queer presents „La vie d’Adéle“ or maybe better know to some of you as „blue is the warmest color“. An extensive film about the French woman Adele, her first relationship with a female painter and her first exploration of desire and queer freedom.
The film will be in dubbed in French (OmU) but subbed in German.
We will hold a short speech putting the movie into perspective of its time and production.
Excited to see you all 6:30pm(18:30) at Audimax (the big building behind the campus building with Freiraum)

Hello Everyone,
here is a little reminder that we have our Queer Pub Crawl planned for this Friday (18.11)
We are going to meet in front of the late Zing at 18:00 and start towards our first pub together. If you plan on coming, please write one of the Sprecher*innenrat members a quick message, so we can see how many people we should expect.
In case you are not a fan of alcohol, we also have deals for non alcoholic beverages in some of of the pubs we will visit.
And for those who do drink alcohol, don’t forget to drink some water from time to time during the evening and eat enough beforehand. Nonetheless, we will also make a stop at Fressgasse so that everyone can grab a snack in between.

We also ask you to test yourselves for COVID beforehand (including at home tests).

From Nov 12 the exhibition „Alles Auf Einmal Eins Nach Dem Anderen“ by Leoni Marie Hübner can be seen at Automat Artspace in Saarbrücken.

Panel discussion on the topic of „Gender as Performance“ on Nov 12 at 7 pm

The discussants are the photographer themselves, Prof. Dr. Astrid Fellner (UdS), Dr. Laurens Schlicht(UdS), Fatma-Pia Hotait (UdS) and Flora Gessner from the Queer Department of the AsTA of theUniversity of the Saarland. Nicole Fischer (UdS) will moderate the event.
The event takes place in cooperation with the Chair of Romance Literature and Comparative Literary and Cultural Studies at Saarland University and is part of the program of the FrauenThemenMonat 2022 of the state capital Saarbrücken.
